1. Accuracy & Verification

  • All facts, claims, and sources must be rigorously verified before publication.

  • Unverified information, rumors, or speculation must be clearly labeled as such.

  • Corrections will be issued promptly for any errors, with transparency about the nature of the revision.

2. Independence & Impartiality

  • Journalists must avoid conflicts of interest—financial, personal, or political—that could compromise reporting.

  • Opinion pieces must be clearly distinguished from news reporting.

  • Sponsorships, branded content, or paid partnerships must be explicitly disclosed.

3. Fairness & Ethical Reporting

  • Subjects of reporting must be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to allegations before publication.

  • Special care must be taken when covering vulnerable individuals or communities.

  • Sensationalism, misrepresentation, and undue harm must be avoided.

  • Plagiarism and unattributed use of others’ work are strictly prohibited.

5. Diversity & Representation

  • Stories should reflect a broad range of voices, perspectives, and experiences.

  • Language must be inclusive and free from bias based on race, gender, sexuality, disability, or other identities.

  • Stereotyping and stigmatizing language are unacceptable.

6. Legal & Ethical Compliance

  • Content must comply with applicable laws, including defamation, privacy, and copyright regulations.

  • Undercover reporting or deceptive practices require senior editorial approval.
